String.length()

Description

Returns the length of the String, in characters. (Note that this doesn't include a trailing null character.)

Syntax

myString.length()

Parameter Values

  • myString: a variable of type String.

Return Values

  • The length of the String in characters.

If the string is modified, it is highly recommended using String.reserve() to prevent the memory fragmentation issue
